Ho, Ho, Ho, Happy Holidays to one and all from our family at Mister Bones Studios to all of yours. As the holiday season approaches, we thought it would be fun to mix it up and give everyone a list of some of our favourite Christmas films. There is nothing better than getting cozy and watching a great movie, whether it's with your family or by yourself! Whether you're in the mood to laugh or to have a heartfelt experience, we have the movies for you. So, without further ado and in no particular order, here is the editor's choice: Top Ten Christmas Movies.

This hilarious story follows Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis as a couple who decide to skip Christmas for one year and go on a vacation. They live in a neighbourhood that takes this holiday very seriously, so everyone seemed to have a problem with it. Their plans go awry when their daughter makes a surprising call, telling her parents that she will be returning home for Christmas. Christmas with the Kranks is a film that mixes comedy and family values and is definitely a must-watch for this holiday season.

Four Christmases is a comedy film about a couple (Reese Whitherspoon and Vince Vaughn) who have found themselves visiting all four of their divorced parents on Christmas Day. This film is one that is full of laughs and awkward moments that will make you belly laugh. If you're looking for a funny movie that is fun and lighthearted with a touch of holiday spirit, this one delivers that on a golden platter!

This very charming animated holiday film follows the son of Santa Claus on a mission to deliver a forgotten present to a young girl. This film is a great one to watch with your entire family! It is a beautiful animation that shares touching messages about family and the importance of teamwork. This is a very good modern-day classic that is an amazing family watch!

The Christmas Chronicles is a new spin on the regular Santa Claus stories you’re used to seeing. Kurt Russell, who plays a charismatic Santa, teams up with siblings and takes them on a very wild adventure to save Christmas. The siblings accidentally crash the sleigh and want to make it right and save Christmas! This film is full of action, magic, and the joys of Christmas. This is a great film for families who are looking for a modern-day Santa Claus movie!

  1. A Christmas Carol (2009), directed by. Robert Zemeckis


The timeless story by Charles Dickens features Ebenezer Scrooges and his transformation into a better person. This film is filled with beautiful animations and tells a classic yet touching story. It is one of those that sticks with you throughout the years and will always be a go-to during the holiday season!

This film, based on a well-loved children's book, takes viewers on a magical train ride to the North Pole. This film remains a family favourite, especially when wanting to watch a heartwarming classic!

  1. The Santa Clause (1994), directed by. John Pasquin & The Santa Clause 2 (2002) directed by. Micheal Lembeck


This movie presented Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, a regular man who unexpectedly becomes Santa Claus. This first film introduces magical concepts, and the sequel continues that but adds a twist of Scott having to find the next Mrs. Claus. Both of these films are whimsical energy, and they are full of holiday cheer!

For anyone who enjoys a historical touch to a holiday film, we recommend The Man Who Invented Christmas. These movies tell a beautiful story of how Charles Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol. Last but not least, it is one of the most iconic Christmas films of all time! Miracle on 34th Street tells the heartwarming story of a man who is claiming to be Santa Claus. This classic must be a part of your Christmas movie marathon, and it tells an amazing story!
